Iceland: Expecting Hope Print E-mail

P2 Productions (P2), Iceland

€ 9,500
Ref: 1502

Addressing a church-alienated culture immersed in negative, profit-oriented and cynical news media products is the purpose of a project that uses social media to portray and share a positive and humanistic faith-based attitude to life and community. The project will produce short video testimonies of hope and how hope influences real-life problems and situations that otherwise seem dire and destructive. Choosing influential people, leaders and community role models to make short and to the point interviews, the potential of social media will ensure the distribution of the videos as people share them through their own social networks. The outcome will be a more hopeful and more creation-friendly environment in which so many young people today can communicate in a more positive way that tackles contemporary problems using contemporary means.
